Project-based learning -- "The Prisoiner of Zenda" (Short story) -- Reading report

Project goals :
 1. Let students know about the writer.
 2. Let students understand the plot/background/characters better.
 3. Let students know about the theme and moral values.
 4. Let students to do their own reflection.

Duration:
  2 months.

Steps:
  1. Divide the class into a group of four students.
  2. Separate the report into 4 parts ( plot/ writer / theme / moral values / own reflection)
  3. Every part spends 2 weeks to finish.
  4. Each group do chapter review by ppt and do the presentation in class (assessment mark will be given).
  5. The assesment will be based on the performance, creativity and participation.

Expectation:
  1. Submit the assignment(script) on time.
  2. The performance is well prepared.
  3, Approach teacher any time if any problem arised.
          



What media and strategies can be used:
1. Watch the movie ("The Prisioner of Zenda") on youtube.
2. Write reflection by using blog (individual work).
3. Write group report by using wiki (group work).
4. Search relevant materials by using "decicious.com" -- bookmarks.
5. Use google to search characters' images.
6. Use bubbl.com to draw the characters reletionships / story life.

  1. basically this is always the way i use to conduct my english literature lesson but owing to the technical problem and all the restriction set but the authority, i give up easily.
